We bring people together around a cause, then make sure it delivers.

The team

We're a group of friends who grew up together. Life has since taken us to different cities and careers across Nigeria, the UK and beyond, but we share a passion for the development of Nigeria and a belief that the next generation deserves every opportunity to thrive. New Avenues is how we put that into action, using our networks, skills and time to back projects that make a lasting difference for the local community.

Sign up as an individual and we'll do our best to place you with one of the captains' teams for the Charity Sports Day on Sunday 27 December. Places are limited and teams need a balance of men and women, so we can't guarantee a spot. Participant entry is ₦15,000, payable once you're placed.

To renovate and upgrade SCCWI's Digital Skills and Innovation Training Centre, giving young boys practical digital and AI skills.

Street Child Care & Welfare Initiative

SCCWI is a Nigerian non-profit founded in 2007 to care for disadvantaged children through rehabilitation, education and empowerment.

It works through education, vocational training, sport and health awareness, and the long-term reintegration of street children, so that every child has an equal chance to reach their potential.

Thirteen years on, we're coming back.

In 2013 we hosted a football tournament with the SCCWI boys and raised $10,000 to build the centre's ICT lab. In January 2026 we went back to visit and saw faces we hadn't seen in over a decade. Now we're returning to upgrade what we started.

Fourteen events, fourteen teams, one afternoon.

We've selected 11 captains, each of whom has put together a mixed-gender team. Together with 3 teams from SCCWI, all 14 teams will compete against each other across track, fun races and strength challenges, with food, drinks and music throughout.
